Shredded Secrets from the White House

Paul B. Skousen is an author, college professor, and instructor on the United States Constitution. He holds a journalism degree from Brigham Young University and master’s degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University.

After graduate school Mr. Skousen worked for President Ronald Reagan in the White House Situation Room. In addition, he was an intelligence officer for the CIA. He received national notoriety when he preserved a large bag of shredded top secret documents, part of the so-called “smoking gun” from the Iran-Contra Affair, that he sold piecemeal on plaques emblazoned with “Shredded Secrets from the White House.” An original plaque is on display at the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC. National media outlets including radio legend Paul Harvey (“The Rest of the Story”) covered the unusual story.

Skousen has extensive experience interviewing political and military leaders in Egypt, Israel and Jordan, including the former prime minister of Jordan, and the political advisor to Egypt’s for- mer President Mubarak, and senior generals in the Israeli military.

Skousen is the author of fifteen books including “The Federalist Papers Made Easier,” “The Na- ked Socialist,” “How to Read the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence,” and “How to Save the Constitution.”

He is the son of W. Cleon Skousen and has revised and edited several of his father’s books in- cluding “The Naked Communist,” “The Five Thousand Year Leap,” “Fantastic Victory,” “The Cleansing of America,” and “It’s Coming to America–The Majesty of God’s Law.”

Skousen teaches the 13-hour Miracle of America course on the Constitution and is a frequent speaker and motivational instructor.

Additionally, Skousen has been a columnist for The Daily Caller, and is a college professor in communications and journalism. He and his wife, Kathy (née Bradshaw) are parents of 10 chil- dren with 45 grandchildren and counting.
